Meopta

Meopta, a distinguished European optics brand, has been a leading figure in manufacturing rifle scopes since the 1930s. Based in the Czech Republic, Meopta's legacy began with its inception in 1933 in Prerov. The founders, Alois Mazurek and Alois Beneš, initially operated under the name Optikotechna, producing a diverse range of optical devices, including lenses, binoculars, riflescopes, slide projectors, and cameras. During the Second World War, the company focused exclusively on optical devices for military use.

In 1947, Meopta® Optika was established by merging two Czechoslovakian optics firms, harnessing the rich heritage and expertise of C.P. Goerz, a Vienna-based optical device manufacturer founded in the late 1800s. Today, Meopta is revered for its superior quality and craftsmanship. Most of their lenses are meticulously produced in Czech facilities, with some products assembled in the USA, reflecting their global influence.

Their range includes the high-end Meopta ZD line, manufactured in the Czech Republic, embodying the pinnacle of optical precision. Meopta's commitment to excellence is further highlighted through collaborations, such as Cabela's, creating innovative rifle scopes catering to diverse shooting needs.
